More importantly, the game ends on a rather abrupt note, leaving the possibility for this sub-series of the Call of Duty franchise to keep going from a fourth entry and beyond. The plot is simple enough, but it alienates those who haven't followed along with every multiplayer season of 2022's Modern Warfare II big characters presumed to be gone suddenly pop up. Captain Price, the members of Task Force 141, and their affiliates have all focused their energies on stopping Makarov's groups before things get worse. The story is that the infamous terrorist leader Vladimir Makarov has been freed from the gulag by soldiers of the PMC Konni Group, who are loyal to him and his cause. Those who pre-ordered the game digitally gained access to the campaign before everyone else, and it already does something different by being a direct continuation of a storyline told in the previous year's Call of Duty entry. ![]() The kicker is that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III might not be worth all of that work. The process was recently reversed via a patch, and the game now takes you straight to Modern Warfare III, but it makes you work to play any other game in the hub, and there's still the need to reboot after every update. ![]() The process is annoying on the PC because it takes far too long to get going, and all of the utilized hard drive space doesn't even include the installation of Modern Warfare II or Warzone 2.0. From there, you wait for the reboot, and you'll finally be able to enter the game. Select the campaign, and it needs to reboot to reach the game's menu. Get past this, and you have to scroll down the menu to find Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III because it isn't at the top of the list - despite being the most recent entry. You then sit through an ad for Warzone 2.0's latest season and a few windows talking about the benefits of the Battle Pass and opportunities to buy it. After setting aside roughly 175GB for the game, your first boot will be met with a message to reboot the app, since it received an update. It's packaged with the Call of Duty HQ app, which acts as a central hub for the series' more recent entries from the first Modern Warfare remake onward. Unfortunately, with Grand Theft Auto 6 up next, Rockstar may not give Red Dead Online another real shake until potentially Red Dead Redemption 3.The 2023 iteration of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III wants to make it difficult for players to play the game. As for Red Dead Redemption 2, it's good to see that, even as Rockstar's support for the game has ceased, there's still a creative community of modders bringing other iconic characters into Red Dead's world. With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 right around the corner on November 10, fans will get to see what's next for Captain Price and crew in the rebooted Modern Warfare storyline. Price is even equipped with Red Dead Redemption 2's iconic Dead Eye ability which slows down time and allows the player to mark targets. TheKe圓2 also added that their Price character mod is available for players to download, with Price being playable and also available to spawn as an NPC. As modern weapons aren't available in Red Dead Redemption 2, TheKe圓2 clarified under the post that the rifle was added as a mod and is fully automatic. The third photo of Captain Price even goes as far as to somewhat mimic his pose on 2019 's Modern Warfare cover art with an M16 assault rifle. Complete with a cowboy hat, which is supposed to replicate Price's iconic boonie hat, and bushy mutton chop beard, Price looks like he fits right into the world of Red Dead Redemption. On Reddit, TheKe圓2 posted three images of their incredibly accurate Captain Price recreation made with the help of mods. Price also takes the cover once again this year for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 just one year after Modern Warfare 2. Of course, the leader of Bravo Team also played a major part in the Modern Warfare reboot series, even being featured on the cover of 2019's entry. Arguably one of the most iconic Call of Duty characters next to Ghost or Black Ops' Frank Woods, Captain John Price was first introduced in 2007 with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, a game that influenced the future of the first-person shooter genre and launched Call of Duty into the mainstream. ![]()
